Gibson has announced a collaboration with children’s guitar brand Loog to launch a new collection of small three-string electric guitars based on the legendary Les Paul and SG models. The line is designed to help kids learn to play and fall in love with music while holding instruments that look and feel like the real thing.
Each model in the Gibson x Loog collection is half-scale and built with real guitar components, featuring finishes like TV Yellow, Frost Blue, Shell Pink and Cardinal Red. Though compact, they carry authentic tone and playability. The simplified three-string setup makes it possible for kids to play songs right away and develop confidence fast.
Every guitar comes with Loog’s educational tools, including flashcards, an app with video lessons and a Gibson x Loog activity book that teaches children the history of Gibson and its most iconic designs. Loog founder Rafael Atijas said, “To think that a six-year-old will be able to recognize a Gibson headstock or know what a Les Paul is — that’s amazing.”

The guitars are priced at $229 and available worldwide through Loog’s and Gibson’s websites and selected retailers. Gibson’s Vice President of Product, Mat Koehler, called the partnership “a way to introduce the next generation to the world of Gibson in a fun, accessible way.”
With this launch, Gibson and Loog aren’t just creating smaller instruments — they’re creating entry points into music itself. It’s an invitation for kids to discover sound, shape and creativity through the same guitars that defined rock history.
