Foo Fighters are heading back to Spain in a big way. The band has been announced as one of the main headliners for Mad Cool Festival’s tenth-anniversary edition, taking place from 8 to 11 July 2026 at the Iberdrola Music site in Madrid’s Villaverde district. This stop will be their only Spanish show during the European leg of their forthcoming world tour.
Alongside Foo Fighters, the 2026 line-up reads like a rock history masterclass: Florence + The Machine, Lorde, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Twenty One Pilots, Pulp, The Black Crowes and more than 70 other artists spanning genres and generations.
This year’s edition also brings a fresh approach behind the scenes. Organisers have capped daily attendance at around 50,000-55,000 to improve comfort, delayed start times to avoid the midday heat, and revamped the festival layout with fewer but better-equipped stages, increased rest zones and stronger sustainability measures.
Tickets go on sale 17 November for Santander customers and Mad Cool members; general sale begins 20 November. With Foo Fighters as the only Spanish stop for 2026, demand is expected to surge.
