Jared James Nichols is back with “Ghost”, a track that channels his signature raw blues‑rock sinew — and he’s about to bring the heat across Europe and the UK with a headline tour this winter.

Who the hell is Jared James Nichols?

If you’ve never heard the name you’re late to the party but not too late. Nichols is one of the few modern guitarists flying the flag for real-deal blues rock with no filters. His style is raw, high-voltage and completely pickless. Yes, you read that right. Jared doesn’t use a pick. He plays with fingers only, channeling a tone that lands somewhere between Billy Gibbons’ grit and Leslie West’s thunder.

His signature Les Paul (nicknamed “Old Glory”) is a single-pickup beast that perfectly reflects that approach. Stripped-down. High-impact. Born to scream. No frills. Just fire.

From opening for ZZ Top, Slash and Joe Bonamassa to carving his own headline path, Nichols is becoming a cult hero for tone chasers and riff junkies alike.

With “Ghost,” Nichols taps into a smokier, more haunting vibe. But don’t mistake that for mellow. The song still hits with his usual weight, only now the spaces between the notes feel colder and more cinematic. It’s like he’s exorcising something but refusing to let it go completely.

The guitar tone is, of course, massive. That signature Nichols vibrato is all over it. The riff growls like an engine in low gear and the vocal delivery leans into the blues without falling into cliché.

In his own words: “Ghost has that spirit of pushing forward while holding onto what’s haunting you. It’s emotional, it’s heavy and it feels like where I’m heading next.”

Tour: The EU/UK Takeover

Jared isn’t dropping this single and staying home. He’s hitting the road with a full European tour in November, followed by a ten-date UK headline run in December. He’s also bringing Afrodiziac as support on the UK leg.

This isn’t your average blues rock nostalgia circuit. Jared’s live shows are explosive. No setlist is ever the same. No solo is predictable. He bleeds through the amp.

Nichols isn’t here to pay tribute to anyone. He’s carved out a tone that’s his, a technique that breaks rules, and a live energy that feels more like a detonation than a performance. He doesn’t play to impress. He plays to connect. No polish, no filter, no backup tracks pretending to be raw. Just him, the amp and whatever’s burning under his skin that night.

“Ghost” doesn’t just prove he’s evolving. It makes clear he’s not interested in staying in the same lane as anyone else. And this tour isn’t about nostalgia or legacy. It’s about impact. One guitar, ten cities, and a reminder of what it sounds like when someone means every note.
