In a recent interview, Slash dropped enough hints to re-ignite hope: despite the slow drip of releases, the legendary band is gearing up for a full-length comeback. \u201cIt\u2019s coming,\u201d he says \u2014 but don\u2019t ask when.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Slash opened up about the state of Guns N\u2019 Roses\u2019 creative engine in a convo with Guitar World<\/em>. He revealed they already have a mountain of material, but the real hurdle is the discipline to sit down and turn ideas into something coherent. \u201cThere\u2019s so much material at this point \u2014 it\u2019s a matter of having the discipline to sit down and f\u2014ing get into it,\u201d he shared. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yet, he also cautions that planning rarely works for GNR. According to him: whenever they try to schedule things in advance, the plan tends to crumble. Their most reliable creative mode is still spontaneity \u2014 a spark, a session, and suddenly something real emerges. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When pressed about timing, Slash stayed cryptic. He didn\u2019t commit to dates. Instead, his assurance was simple and confident: \u201cIt\u2019s coming. I know it\u2019s coming because everybody is thinking about it. It\u2019ll just happen when it happens.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s been years since GNR dropped proper new material: their last LP was Chinese Democracy<\/em> (2008). Since the partial reunion with Slash and Duff McKagan back in 2016, the band has released a few tracks \u2014 \u201cAbsurd,\u201d \u201cHard Skool,\u201d and a couple of reworked outtakes \u2014 but nothing that feels like a fully fresh album.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Still, the fact that Slash is speaking openly \u2014 even cautiously \u2014 about a full record is more fuel than fans have seen in a long time. With the band\u2019s history of fits and starts, this could be the moment things start compounding toward something new.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guns N\u2019 Roses has always flirted with chaos. But if this next record actually materializes, it won\u2019t just be a comeback \u2014 it\u2019ll be a statement. The odds are brutal, but so is the legacy. And right now, a spark is glowing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
